Masterplan for a residential area in Rome
The proposal focuses on the enhancement of the open space between five mixed-use residential buildings and a hotel, alongside the redevelopment of the adjacent park area connecting to Sant’Andrea Hospital.
At the core of the project is a central square conceived as a flexible and inviting public space, combining paved surfaces and green areas structured through subtle changes in elevation, which define differentiated subspaces. Seating elements, landscaping, and integrated features encourage social interaction and outdoor use.
The park extends this concept, offering accessible pathways, evergreen planting, and areas for rest and play, including sculptures and a water feature. A pedestrian route links the square to the park, ensuring continuity and accessibility for all users.
Overall, the project prioritizes environmental quality, biodiversity, and inclusivity, creating an adaptable and enjoyable public space throughout the year, suitable for all age groups.

The green areas create an interweaving of volumes formed by evergreen trees and perennial plants, enriching the space with the intense colors of flowering while also increasing biodiversity. Sculptures are placed throughout the space as focal elements that enhance its character and also offer play opportunities for children. Along the western edge of the intervention, a water blade feature enhances the overall attractiveness, contributing to cooling the environment and enriching it with the sound of water.
